It’s
heavy and won’t let you forget
You won’t forget the late nights hanging with yo boo
Or the times you had suspicions that he was untrue
You won’t forget that real thuggin love
That makes you sing psalms from above
Ghetto love is one of the realist encounters that any woman can have
It pushes the struggle in your face making you unravel
The complexity of this love that’s rough, hard, and attractive
All the while asking yourself, why you like it?
Ghetto love is a woman’s protector only to those who understand it.
It fights, it bites, it loves hard, and gently to those it cares for.
It is selective to a special lady that it adores.
Ghetto love won’t let you forget
The lesson that it brings and the ties that is meant
Ghetto love honors its commitment
But if you violate its trust it will cut you with resentment
So if you have this Ghetto love in your life
Think before you commit not once but twice
Do you have the strength to endure the pain?
To put yourself second no thinking of gain
Rewards of this love is oh so great
But make sure you take care of your bitness before it’s too late.
